Daniel Gómez-Vásquez
Welcome!
I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at Texas A&M University. I am on the 2024-25 job market. I will be attending the APPAM and SEA 2024 Meetings in Washington, DC, and the ASSA 2025 Meeting in San Francisco.
My research interests lie in the economics of labor and education, with a special focus on hiring discrimination, employment dynamics in multi-racial or multi-ethnic settings, informal labor markets, and teamwork cooperation and conflict resolution in diverse groups.
In my work, I use a variety of methods, including laboratory, online, and field experiments, in conjunction with the analysis of survey and administrative data.
In my job market paper, supported by the Russell Sage Foundation, I study whether hiring experiences with workers from one minority group affect beliefs about performance and hiring of workers from a different minority group.
